This is a dandy little package brought to you by Blue Rose Records, a small label who go all out, never cutting corners, presenting something special for those who just want to listen, and for those who want something collectable and special. And to that end, they’ve succeed majestically here. Blue Rose has packaged a triple gatefold to hold the two discs of live material, along with the bonus DVD, and is only available as an import here in the States ... so be prepared to shell out some bucks or get down on your hands and knees, and thank that special someone who may have laid this beauty on you.The recording is excellent, and the audience has not been miced. Cracker roll through a blistering set with little banter, playing one of the finest shows I’ve heard them do since they were in Philadelphia, on Halloween many years ago, and Dave handed me the mic so that I could blast the line “EuroTrash Girl.” There are many people who’d like to dismiss Cracker, and that’s a real mistake, because Cracker are quintessential rock n’ roll, living the life, writing about it, endlessly touring, and making no apologies. Don’t expect to be sitting through one of their shows, they’ll have you up and jiving like you’ve never done before ... and when you hit the cool night air after the show, you just may catch someone on the street smiling back at your contagious ear to ear grin.Review by Jenell Kesler
